Setting Up Your Profile

How to customize your account settings, appearance preferences, and privacy options in EmEase.

Your EmEase profile contains important settings that help personalize your experience and keep your information secure. This guide will walk you through setting up and managing your profile preferences.

Accessing Your Profile

To access your profile settings:

  1. Tap the Profile icon in the bottom navigation bar

  2. You'll see several categories of settings you can customize

Account Settings

Personal Information

  • Name: Update the name associated with your account

  • Email: Change or verify the email address used for your account

To update your personal information:

  1. Tap on the field you wish to change

  2. Enter your new information

  3. Tap Save to confirm changes

Appearance Settings

EmEase offers appearance options to make your experience more comfortable:

Theme Options

  • Light Mode: Brighter interface, ideal for daytime use

  • Dark Mode: Darker interface that reduces eye strain in low-light environments

  • System Default: Automatically matches your device's theme settings

To change your theme:

  1. Tap Appearance in the Profile menu

  2. Select your preferred theme option

  3. Changes apply immediately

Privacy & Security

Two-Factor Authentication

Adding an extra layer of security to your account:

  1. Tap Privacy & Security in the Profile menu

  2. Select Two-Factor Authentication

  3. Choose SMS-based verification

  4. Enter your phone number

  5. Input the verification code sent to your phone

  6. Once verified, two-factor authentication will be enabled

Data Management

EmEase gives you control over your personal data:

Exporting Your Data

  1. Tap Privacy & Security

  2. Select Export Data

  3. Choose what data you want to export (all data or specific categories)

  4. Tap Export

  5. Your data will be prepared and sent to your registered email address

Deleting Your Data

To delete specific data:

  1. Tap Privacy & Security

  2. Select Delete Data

  3. Choose what data you want to remove

  4. Confirm your choice

  5. Enter your password for verification

Deleting Your Account

If you wish to completely delete your account:

  1. Tap Privacy & Security

  2. Select Delete Account

  3. Read the information about what this means

  4. Enter your password to confirm

  5. Tap Permanently Delete Account

Note: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be removed from our servers.

Notification Preferences

Manage how and when EmEase communicates with you:

  1. Tap Notifications in the Profile menu

  2. Toggle on/off different notification types:

    • Session reminders

    • Progress updates

    • App updates and news

  3. Changes save automatically

Troubleshooting Profile Issues

If you encounter problems with your profile settings:

  • Ensure your app is updated to the latest version

  • Try logging out and logging back in

  • Check your internet connection

  • Contact support if issues persist
