EmEase keeps a comprehensive record of all your processing sessions, allowing you to track your progress over time and review past insights. This guide explains how to access and make the most of your session history.
Accessing Your Session History
There are two ways to view your session history:
From the Profile Tab
Tap the Session tab in the bottom navigation
You'll see a chronological list of all your sessions
From a Target's Details
Go to the Journey tab
Tap on a specific target
Scroll down to the Session History section
You'll see sessions specific to that target
Understanding the Session History List
The session history list displays:
Date and time of each session
Target name (or "Quick Session" for non-target sessions)
Duration of the session
Distress change (pre-session β post-session)
Sessions are organized chronologically with the most recent at the top.
Viewing Individual Session Details
To see complete details for any session:
Tap on the session in your history list
The Session Details screen will open
What's Included in Session Details
Each session record contains:
Basic Information
Date and time the session occurred
Duration of the session
Target processed (if applicable)
Distress Measurements
Pre-session distress level (0-10)
Post-session distress level (0-10)
Distress change (the difference between pre and post ratings)
Session Configuration
Movement pattern used (Horizontal or Hourglass)
Movement speed setting
Ball size (if visual stimulation was used)
Stimulus type (Visual, Audio, or Both)
Processing sets information (if enabled)
Your Insights & Observations
Notes you recorded after the session
Any additional observations added later
Grounding Exercises
Which grounding techniques (if any) you used before or after the session
Using Session History Effectively
Tracking Progress Over Time
Your session history helps you:
Identify patterns in what approaches work best for you
Recognize gradual improvements that might not be obvious day-to-day
See the cumulative effect of consistent processing
Notice connections between different targets
Reviewing Past Insights
Periodically reviewing your session insights can:
Reinforce positive changes you've experienced
Highlight connections you might have missed
Provide encouragement when you see how far you've come
Guide future sessions based on what has been effective
Managing Your Session History
Adding Notes to Past Sessions
You can add additional insights to any session:
Open the session details
Tap Notes
Add your new notes
Tap Save
Deleting Sessions
If needed, you can remove sessions from your history:
Open the session details
Tap the Options menu (usually three dots)
Select Delete Session
Confirm your choice
Note: Deleting a session permanently removes it from your records and cannot be undone.
Session History Insights
The app provides helpful insights based on your session history:
Statistics View
Access aggregate statistics about your processing journey:
Total number of sessions completed
Average distress reduction per session
Most frequently processed targets
Most effective session configurations
Progress Charts
Visual representations of your journey:
Distress level trends over time
Session frequency patterns
Target-specific progress
Troubleshooting
Missing Sessions
If you don't see a session in your history:
Check if you completed the post-session ratings
Verify you tapped "End Session" rather than closing the app
Ensure your app is updated to the latest version
Incomplete Information
If session details appear incomplete:
You didn't enter starting or ending distress level
The session may have ended unexpectedly
There might have been a connection issue
Try completing another session to see if the issue persists
Privacy and Data Security
Your session history is:
Stored securely on your device and in your encrypted account
Never shared without your explicit permission
Included in data backups (if enabled)
Available if you reinstall the app (when signed into your account)
